FAQ
Most rigid plastic food containers ship under HS 3924.10.99 (tableware, kitchenware and other household articles of plastics), the code Laiwa declares under for its plastic food packaging. Confirm the exact 8-digit sub-heading with your freight forwarder for the destination country.
Yes – our food-contact SKUs use food-grade PP and food-grade PET resin aligned with the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) Food Regulations governing materials in contact with food. Material declarations are available on request for export documentation.
All PP-based containers (bento, takeaway tubs, soup tubs, PP cups) are microwave-safe at typical reheating temperatures (up to ~110 °C). PET containers (salad, sushi, dessert) are NOT microwave-safe – they soften under microwave heat. Bagasse is microwave- and oven-safe.
Yes. PP and bagasse SKUs are oil-resistant and will not absorb stains from curry, sambal or gravy when stored within normal serving temperatures. PET retains oil resistance, but should not be used for hot, oily food (above 60°C).
Stock SKUs: 2-5 working days for Singapore delivery from Buroh Street. Custom printing orders: 4-6 weeks. New custom moulds (proprietary bento shapes): 8-12 weeks, including tool-prove samples.
Stock SKUs have no fixed MOQ – small orders welcome. Bulk pricing kicks in at carton or pallet quantity. Custom-printed runs typically have an MOQ of 5,000-10,000 pcs, depending on SKU and print complexity.
Yes – Laiwa offers in-house printing in 1-4 colours on lids, sleeves and direct on PP bases above MOQ. Send your artwork (AI / PDF, CMYK, vector) for a free print mock-up before tooling.
